SUMMARY:One Day Silent Yoga & Meditation Retreat - FULLY BOOKED
DESCRIPTION:A day in silence creates the ideal conditions for self-remembrance\, deep rest and rejuvenation. This is an invitation and opportunity to connect with the joy and simplicity of Being. \nYoga is not a quick fix\, it is a lifelong journey and discipline. Through consistent practice\, we can start to touch deeper and more subtle aspects of our being. Meditation is an experiential exploration of the fundamental questions of life – ‘Who am I?’\, ‘What is this Existence?’. A day dedicated to silence\, can be a profound journey of self remembrance. \nWe guide and supervise all practices\, creating safe and supportive conditions for you to go deeper into your practice. The day will likely include Sun Salutations\, gentle Hatha Yoga including pranayama\, and short meditations including walking meditation. There will be some short talks on yogic philosophy as well. \nEvery aspect of the day is fully dedicated to creating the best conditions for the revelation of our true essence and the awakening of our hearts. \nMauna (Noble Silence): The observance of mauna is fundamental to creating the proper conditions to allow us to go deeper in our practice of meditation. Pausing social interaction allows the mental energies connected with communication to cease and be redirected to the practice of self exploration. \nThis format of retreat provides a great introduction to the practice of meditation for beginners and can also serve to enrich and refresh the practice of experienced meditators. \nFor more information & to book\, see the event page here: https://kalyanyoga.com/one-day-silent-yoga-meditation-retreat/

SUMMARY:My Name is (Not) Mum
DESCRIPTION:Forget the clichés; we share the hilariously honest truths of motherhood. By exploring the unfiltered highs and lows—from laundry monsters to genuine reflection—our stories reveal how this relatable experience truly changes you. Join these outstanding women as they share what this role means to them. \nSarah O’Connell\, Lysanne van Zessen\, Beccy Myers and Breigh O’Malley join Debbie Brooks in this debut collaboration of motherhood\, music and mayhem. \nIt’s a little chaotic\, very raw and thoughtful as we discuss topics about motherhood that we didn’t expect to experience. From IVF with pop rock music\, mundane household chores\, the loneliness epidemic without a village and perimenopausal life with a toddler – there’s something for everyone. \nHow we define ourselves as mothers is more than this name – we each navigate this journey differently and yet struggle with the same thing – to be more than just this title at this stage in our lives. \nBookings required. Tickets $25 here
