SUMMARY:We Mavericks
DESCRIPTION:Tickets @ undertheradar.co.nz/ticket/19868/We-Mavericks-Live-In-Concert.utr \nReturning to Aotearoa this May\, We Mavericks pack mighty punches\, but bring songs to heal your scars. Featuring only a foot-stomping Kiwi and a small-town Australian\, this troubadour duo make music that is more than the sum of its parts. \nThey’re every bit as dynamic as they look: Lindsay Martin’s masterful violin\, mandolin and vocals meet Victoria Vigenser’s mesmerising voice and guitar work\, in driving rhythms and a connectedness you must see to believe. Imagine an organic blend of lyrical pop and acoustic folk\, but with echoes of soulful Americana in the harmonies\, and Celtic roots running deeply throughout the instrumentation. \nA certain trademark tightness and their strangely gritty\, evocative performances have seen them on a steep and fast rise to the big stages in both home countries; Spotlight showcase artists for Folk Alliance International 2022\, nominated Aotearoa (NZ) Music Awards “Best Folk Artist” 2022\, nominated Australian Folk Music Awards Artists of the Year\, Best Duo/Group/Ensemble 2021 and recipients of the 2020 Troubadour Foundation Award\, We Mavericks continue to enthrall audiences far and wide. Touring their keenly-awaited debut album “Grief’s a Gardener” they bring connected and grounding originals that can melt even the hardest of hearts. \n“He has a familiar soft folk tenor. She has a strong ringing tone with muscle behind a clear crystalline voice… The violin cries for her and the harmony vocals are divine… We Mavericks are a serendipitous pairing…”  13th Floor\, NZ 2022 \n“… the glorious harmonies and touching melodies of We Mavericks…Together they craft exquisite folk music\, evoking spirits originating from Appalachia to Alba”  Ambient Light\, NZ 2022 \nPre book $20 & bf.  undertheradar.co.nz/ticket/19868/We-Mavericks-Live-In-Concert.utr \nDoor sales $25

SUMMARY:Matt Joe Gow & Kerryn Fields
DESCRIPTION:Your Heart of Gold”  is the hook\, laden debut single from Matt Joe Gow & Kerryn Fields from their forthcoming album\, due for release in 2024. The song finds the duo trading verses over a bevy of acoustic instruments\, where a golden sunset frames the troubadours out on the open road\, nostalgia running deep between them. \n“With you I feel like a child again \nLike when the rain came down in the summertime \nBare Feet on warm pavement \nAnd all the hope in my heart” \n\n\n\nWith multiple awards to their names and thousands of miles between them\, Matt Joe Gow & Kerryn Fields are bonafide masters of their craft\, having discovered a natural chemistry as performers\, the union of their songwriting enables them to explore new depths in their music. \nTheir ragged edge comes steeped in Alt-Country influences\, building their sound around acoustic instruments and honest songwriting while devouring records from Bob Dylan\, Gillian Welch\, Tracy Chapman. Grant lee Phillips\, Dave Dobbyn and Neil Finn. \nMatt Joe Gow grew up in Dunedin in the South Island of New Zealand\, a place with bad weather and good music\, meanwhile Kerryn Fields was raised in the North Island with one hand on guitar and the other firmly upon her heart. A kindred connection with their homeland brings an emotive strength to their music and gives their songs a sense of place and purpose. \n“The combined talents of both these two artists is really a perfect match and the chance to see them performing together should not be missed” – Myles O’Neil-Shaw PBS FM \nCelebrated artists in Australia\, Matt Joe Gow & Kerryn Fields are Music Victoria Award winners for their respective solo records and nave appeared on festival stages such as Port Fairy Folk Festival\, Out On The Weekend\, Queenscliff Music Festival\, Riverboats\, Kangaroo Valley Folk \nFestival\, Blue Mountains Music Festival\, Out On The Green and Tamworth Country Music Festival. See them take the stage together as they bring their live show home to Aotearoa to celebrate their debut release in conjunction with NZ music month! \n \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NT1jgPdjHI
