SUMMARY:SEEL & SANDERS
DESCRIPTION:For over 6 years London-based guitarist songwriter Alex Seel and innovative bouzouki player Jon Sanders have been charming crowds at festivals and concerts in Europe. This summer brings a rare opportunity to hear their unique blend of original songwriting and worldly tunes across New Zealand at select venues on their 23 concert tour. \nA recent review in the Rhein Zeitung in Germany said of their August concert: \n“The audience raved about the sheer scope of musical interplay and different genres. Sanders plied his jazz-tinged Irish and Arabesque world music \, weaving his compositional skills with British songwriter Seel’s pop\, blues and folk ballads with almost unbelievable change in tempo. All this accompanied by Seel’s impressive guitar playing.” \nBoth are award winning long term musicians taking audiences through their life journeys in music and song. \n“Captivating\, exhilarating and dynamic” said the Zeitung. “Quantum leaping…” said the Irish Times. A unique collaboration\, not to be missed! \nLive in Fairfield Ballroom\, \n$20 online\, $25 on the door. Grab your tickets on Humanitix here. \nDoors open 7 PM. Music from 7:30 PM. \nFairfield pop up bar and kitchen will be operating.

SUMMARY:RADIANT - The Science of Natural Beauty
DESCRIPTION:Beauty is often shaped by pressure\, comparison\, & changing expectations\, especially as we age. But real radiance is deeply connected to how we care for our bodies and ourselves. \nIn this science-informed and interactive seminar\, we explore the biology behind skin health\, hair vitality\, aging\, and everyday beauty practices. \nYou will learn how lifestyle\, environmental influences\, and product choices impact visible beauty over time\, along with practical guidance for choosing beauty products that genuinely support skin & hair health. \nThis seminar also creates space for reflection and connection\, helping women soften their relationship with appearance and feel inspired about aging in a healthier\, more empowered way. \nJoin Alison from Roots to Rubies for this exclusive opportunity (very limited spots!) with her gorgeous guest stars in health & beauty for an afternoon of discovery on ~ \nHOW TO: \n* Eat for Beauty – your outsides are a reflection of your insides. Nutrition\, gut health and good fats are key to lush hair and skin. Learn the keys to recovering common skin ailments like acne\, eczema\, rosacea and dull\, dry or oily skin. \n* Read for Beauty – not food labels but BEAUTY labels. What’s lurking in your $100 face cream can potentially lead to hormone disruption and more. \n* Bathe for Beauty – our relationship with the sun has been wrongly demonised. How can we actually use it as a skin and hair treatment backed by evidence. \n* Cleanse & Detox for Beauty – your body has it’s own self-healing mechanisms. Learn how to leverage this to reverse damage (yes even wrinkles) all the way down to your cells. \n* Think for Beauty – the beauty industry has become industrialised\, preying on women’s insecurities and promoting invasive treatments that can have lasting side effects. Learn a better way! \n* My personal beauty routine and my favourite beauty brands! After 25 years of research and trialling all the gimmicks\, I’ve done the hard work for you! \nOnly 20 spaces available – $40 per ticket. To purchase tickets\, email: alison@rootstorubies.com or TXT: 0275257675 ❤️ \nHosted by Alison Ramsay\, FMCHC\, NBHWCBoard Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach\nCo-Founder Roots To Rubieswww.rootstorubies.com

SUMMARY:One Day Silent Yoga & Meditation Retreat
DESCRIPTION:A day in silence creates the ideal conditions for self-remembrance\, deep rest and rejuvenation. This is an invitation and opportunity to connect with the joy and simplicity of Being. \nYoga is not a quick fix\, it is a lifelong journey and discipline. Through consistent practice\, we can start to touch deeper and more subtle aspects of our being. Meditation is an experiential exploration of the fundamental questions of life – ‘Who am I?’\, ‘What is this Existence?’. A day dedicated to silence\, can be a profound journey of self remembrance. \nWe guide and supervise all practices\, creating safe and supportive conditions for you to go deeper into your practice. The day will likely include Sun Salutations\, gentle Hatha Yoga including pranayama\, and short meditations including walking meditation. There will be some short talks on yogic philosophy as well. \nEvery aspect of the day is fully dedicated to creating the best conditions for the revelation of our true essence and the awakening of our hearts. \nMauna (Noble Silence): The observance of mauna is fundamental to creating the proper conditions to allow us to go deeper in our practice of meditation. Pausing social interaction allows the mental energies connected with communication to cease and be redirected to the practice of self exploration. \nThis format of retreat provides a great introduction to the practice of meditation for beginners and can also serve to enrich and refresh the practice of experienced meditators. \nFor more information & to book\, see the event page here: https://kalyanyoga.com/one-day-silent-yoga-meditation-retreat/
