SUMMARY:Lizzie Cook Intimate Acoustic Set
DESCRIPTION:Lizzie is a wonderful storyteller who transports you into her heartwarming world of music through intimate\, engaging and acoustic concerts on accordion and piano. Lizzie’s musical journey began in Whangārei at 6 years old with classical piano\, playing by ear on ukelele and guitar\, intermediate school clarinet\, then Christchurch as a young adult playing classical oboe\, even playing the oboe in a rock band! For a number of years\, Lizzie sang and played jazz/rock piano in Christchurch and in Paris while studying physical theatre there. On her return to New Zealand\, Lizzie took up accordion and developed her singer/songwriter repertoire for accordion and piano. This repertoire is variously described as world\, folk\, funk\, French café\, Balkan\, and reminiscent of sea shanty storytelling. Lizzie also currently plays bass trombone in two brass bands in Christchurch. In this concert on Sunday 23 August\, Lizzie offers you an intimate\, acoustic set of accordion and piano based songs. \nFind out more about Lizzie here: \nhttps://www.lizziecook.co.nz/\nhttps://www.facebook.com/LizzieCookMusic/\nlizzieccookmusic@gmail.com
