Sunday 28 May

Lazy Sunday Afternoon,

An afternoon of Gentle and Restorative Yoga with Sam Loe    Sam:
Investment $35. 3pm to 6 pm

This second lazy Sunday will focus on practices and restorative postures that release tension around the lower back, the deep core psoas muscle and the hips. By softening and hydrating through these core structures we make way for finding centre in a world of to do lists and overwhelm. The afternoon≠s practice will lead into a delicious welcoming iRest Yoga Nidra.  Sam's website

Frank June 17:

The Frank Burkitt Band.have become one of New Zealand's finest string bands, and their style can best be described as Acoustic Swing.' Drawing influence from American roots music and artists such as The Wood Brothers, Pokey LaFarge and Nina Simone, Burkitt's entertaining and occasionally rambling anecdotes give audiences a chance to really relate to his songs. The originality of the songs stand out, and the arrangements will keep your ears purring!

They are:
- Frank Burkitt (vocals, guitar).
- Kara Filbey (vocals, percussion).
- Cameron Dusty Burnell (mandolin, tenor banjo).
- James Geluk (double bass).

"Frank Burkitt with a clear load of experience and nightclub savvy in his style. With strong songs and musicianship, his easy listening camaraderie lifted the evening to foot-tapping entertainment with a wry sense of humour and professional patter." Theatreview.org.nz.
