The hottest Balkan fusion ensemble in Wellington is coming to the South Island, and this time they’re pulling no punches. Fresh out of the studio recording their debut album “Novi Grad All Stars”, they’re raring to showcase their new and exciting brand of music to the people of Nelson.

Bazurka are a six piece instrumental Balkan music ensemble. Forged in the fires of the cultural melting pot that is Newtown, and tempered by passion, heartache, and a dash of madness, their music is bold, brooding, and beautiful. They’ll make you laugh, they’ll make you cry, they’ll make you dance like your life depended on it.

Since forming in 2016 they’ve wowed audiences all over the country, including Auckland Garden Festival, Newtown Festival, and Cuba Dupa.

You just have to dance on a beautiful summer evening under the stars in the Fairfield courtyard.
