Nelson Grampians Trapper Connect

Join the launch of the Nelson Trapper Connect series, starting with an event hosted by the awesome team at Birdlife on Grampians. This series is a fantastic chance for trapping groups around Nelson to come together, build community, enhance skills, and share expertise.

Join us at Fairfield House for a hands-on trap calibration and maintenance workshop. Connect with the dedicated Birdlife on Grampians crew.

Join a trapline walk with Nick Sparks (please RSVP as numbers are limited). This small-group activity will focus on knowledge exchange, connecting with fellow trappers, and performing a “trapline health check.”

We will have NCC subsidised traps available to have some hands-on practice and to purchase if you want to get started at backyard trapping.

New volunteers wanted! Everyone is welcome—from seasoned trappers to newcomers eager to get involved. Please reach out if you or anyone you know is keen to help care for the Grampians.
