Details

  • Date: November 11
  • Time:
    7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Announcing The Barden Party’s first Scene Study Course! Every Tuesday evening this November at Fairfield House.

This is where actors come alive. You will dive into scenes from stage and screen, exploring truth, vulnerability and connection. Together we will unpack great writing, push boundaries and bring bold, authentic performances to life.

Want to hone a specific skill? Get more connected on stage or better at memorisation? Try a new genre that you haven’t had the chance to try before? Perform a famous movie scene that you love or play a character you wouldn’t usually get to play? Or how about simply just have more stage time to gain more experience?

Perfect for actors ready to stretch their craft, stay sharp and play fearlessly. New to acting? No problem! You will learn by getting hands on experience in a safe, supportive space.

✨ Tuesdays from 4 Nov (if you can’t start on the 4th but still want to join, please get in touch)

Ages 17+

How does it work?
You’ll be given a scene and/or monologue to read, explore, and rehearse with your scene partner. Bring it back each week to perform, get feedback, and grow your skills. And also learn from watching your fellow actors. You may work on one or multiple pieces.

Classes may also feature other guest professionals sharing their expertise.

Laura Irish is an award-winning director and actor with over 20 years of experience on stage and screen having worked across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Asia and the USA.
